Alive in Christ

When you were dead in your transgressions,

And uncircumcision of flesh,

He made you alive and forgave your sin,

And cancelled the record of debt.

In Him you received circumcision –

Performed by the Spirit of Christ;

And having been buried in baptism,

God raised you through faith to new life.

Alive in Christ! Alive in Christ!

Rejoice for Jesus has paid the price.

He nailed our debt to the rugged cross;

Now we’re alive in Christ.

Therefore, being rooted in Jesus,

So walk in the strength He provides;

And being built up in your holy faith,

Rejoice that the Lord is your guide.

Take care that you’re not taken captive

Through empty deceptions of men.

For in Him the fullness of Deity dwells,

And over all things He is head.
