Psalm 118

The stone which the builders rejected

Has become the chief cornerstone;

The sons of the kingdom, perfected,

Are secured in Christ Jesus alone.

 

The working of God, our great Father,

Is marvelous before our eyes.

Salvation received does not falter

We are held by omnipotent ties

 

Behold! Christ, salvation’s great Author.

Come with no money to buy.

Drink from His free living water,

That in Him ye never shall die!

Now this is the day of His making;

We rejoice with gladness, and sing:

“The Son on the cross, our sins taking,

To give us His righteousness free!”

 

“Hosanna!”, we cry, Son of David,

Who comes in the name of the Lord.

Thy sacrifice claims our salvation –

We’re redeemed by pow’r of The Word.

 

O Father, with love everlasting,

Please send us Thy prosperity.

Yet not of the world’s boastful trappings;

Oh grant us the treasure of Thee.
