Psalm 37
Words: Jesse Rey Quesada & Bryan Jeffrey Lee. Music: Bryan Jeffrey Lee.
I’ll rest in the Lord as I patiently wait,
And cast onto Him all the cares of my day.
Though evil men prosper, why should my soul fear?
Like grass they shall wither, and soon disappear.
His goodness I’ll trust as I patiently wait,
The harvest to yield from my years sown in faith.
To Christ I’ve committed my way, my delight,
And soon shall He bring forth my justice as light.
I’ll rest in the Lord, for I’m held by His hand;
My steps are prepared by the King’s sovereign plan.
His hand lends all day from His storehouse of grace
To those who are righteous, and never forsakes.
I'll wait on the Lord, for He's faithful to me,
He's waiting on high with compassion to bring.
What trial should alarm, be it famine or sword?
For blessed am I as I wait on the Lord.
I’ll wait on the Lord, for the trump shall resound,
Though long seems the night and hope’s veiled in a shroud.
Til morning shall come, and the Son shines His face,
I'll rest in the Lord as I patiently wait.
