Psalm 76

God’s might is known in Judah –

His name in Israel.

His temple crowns Jerusalem;

In Zion, Yahweh dwells.

He breaks the flaming arrows –

They splinter at His word.

Against His might the shield shall split,

Just as the shattered sword.

Yours is resplendent glory,

Above the hills of prey.

At your rebuke, the stout shall fall,

And sink into the grave.

We fear You, God of Jacob,

Before You none can stand.

When once Your anger is aroused,

The proud shall kiss the ground.

Your voice spoke from the heavens;

The earth feared and was still.

When God arose from on His throne

Salvation was fulfilled.

Our crowns, we cast before You,

O King of all the world,

And bring the glory, honor, praise

To You, our mighty Lord.
